OBRA was originally established in 1958, and in the early 1970’s merged with the Oregon Rodeo Association, which later became the Northwest Pro Rodeo Association (NPRA). In 1991, OBRA was revised as an exclusive barrel racing association to answer the high demand for quality barrel races in Oregon.
OBRA is a family oriented organization for men and women of all ages. We have hundreds of contestants and their families at our races across Oregon. OBRA strives to keep entry fees affordable, and we only keep $3.00 per run to go toward our Year-End Awards. The rest has been made possible through our much appreciated sponsors like you!
Advertising our sponsors is very important to us at OBRA. As a sponsor, your name or business is posted on our OBRA website. Other advertising includes announcing sponsors at races statewide, arena banners, ads in our Finals program, and, if applicable, monogrammed awards with the sponsors names and logos. We encourage you to present the award you sponsored to the recipient at our Finals.
